30th in passing, 28th overall offense yet Dungy still got them to the playoffs with that dominant "Tampa 2" defense. Dungy was a hell of a coach.

Under Shula the Bucs went 5 games with 0 touchdowns in 1999. Vomit.

Well, he's had time to learn more about offense since. No reason to think he's not better after almost a decade and a quarter since then. I think he'll do fine. All he has to do is watch the fuging film the past two years, look at the play-calling that worked, and repeat that while simultaneously avoiding whatever the fug we ran the first 8 weeks this season.

Zod, that was nearly 13 years ago.

You are blatantly stirring the pot.

It is already overflowing.

Chud was a control freak, I like Shula being promoted, maybe Cam will be allowed to call a few plays himself now.

I lived in Tampa Bay during his tenure.

Defensive coordinators would laugh about how the bucs had a high school offense and no game planning was needed, just base packages.

I'm not exaggerating. It was god awful.

You have no idea.

God I hope he has learned a few things since then.

the great news is that by promoting Shula and Rodgers, Richardson only has to pay two coaches instead of four.

think of the investment potential

I am trying to be positive, or at least put a positive spin on Shula's promotion, but you truth terrorists aren't helping.

Tampa Bay is averaging only 13 points a game and regressed when Eric Zeier replaced Trent Dilfer as the starting quarterback in last Sunday's 20-3 loss to Detroit.

Much of the criticism is focused on offensive coordinator Mike Shula, whose complicated game plans tend to fall on the conservative side. Because Dungy is steadfastly loyal to his coaching staff, there is speculation he would rather resign than make widespread changes if asked to bump Shula at season's end.

Cam can make a ""genius" out of any coordinator, Shula has never had the weapons he has in Carolina, especially with a once in a generation type QB with Cam.

Zod was nice and decided not to pile on by mentioning what an abject failure he was as a HC at Bama. Less than 13 years ago.

I'm not really understanding the "failure + 13 years = success" equation people are pushing

This is a big step back in my opinion. I was fine with Rivera staying but you can't downgrade our coaching staff across the board and expect improvement.
