LOL at all the "I like this hire" turncoats about to appear on the site.

Another informative post by Brooklyn Bully, you're on a roll!

I lived in Tampa Bay during his tenure.

Defensive coordinators would laugh about how the bucs had a high school offense and no game planning was needed, just base packages.

I'm not exaggerating. It was god awful.

You have no idea.

God I hope he has learned a few things since then.

Terrible post. I would expect more from you. That was 13 years ago.

Zod was nice and decided not to pile on by mentioning what an abject failure he was as a HC at Bama. Less than 13 years ago.

I'm not really understanding the "failure + 13 years = success" equation people are pushing

This is a big step back in my opinion. I was fine with Rivera staying but you can't downgrade our coaching staff across the board and expect improvement.

If Shula wasn't named Shula he would not be an NFL coach.

Here is a relevant question for people who wanted some other person at OC.

Has Jackson ever been an OC during a season that didn't end with the head coach being fired?

I didn't hate the retention of Rivera when it was announced. I preferred someone else, but I swallowed my bitterness over his mishandling of this team and I was willing to give him another shot. After this horseshit move though, I'm fuging done with him. We had a couple of vacancies to fill and we could have brought in proven, talented people to fill those vacancies but because of Rivera's insecurity of his job we promoted from within. We promoted part of the failures to continue the failing. I'll never give up on the Panthers but I have fuging given up on Rivera.

Everyone that saw Smith play knew he was going to be special. Not being given a chance and then succeeding when given the chance is not the same as sucking and then 13 years not sucking....that rarely happens.
