Not that facts matter anyway to the Obama sheep.

It is impossible for you to have meaningful rhetoric with people you dismiss as uncaring sheep beforehand.

Political slant in the news is not news. Personally I find a news source attacking another over the republicrat political shows rather boring.

oh for christ's sake

it says right in the article that the company is expanding in to china but not at the detriment of US production which was the crux of the entire fuging controversy in the first place

it'd be like you claiming that i was selling my porno shop and moving it to the town over, but when i keep my porno shop open and expand with a new location in the next town over, you jump up and down screaming that you were right all along.

So in the end, PolitiFact's beef with the Romney ad was an entirely argumentative disagreement about what course of action Jeep should take, not a factual objection to Romney's true statement that Jeep was going to start building cars in China. However, disagreeing about the implications of manufacturing Jeeps in China doesn't justify calling Romney a liar for accurately stating Jeeps would be manufactured in China.

it was always about the implication that US jobs would be lost because production was being moved to china and presumably halted in the US from the word go. the idea of a company expanding to china but keeping their US operations in tact is an extremely mundane concept when it comes to big business and it's absurd to imply that a successful business man in romney and his staff either didn't understand that or were just flatly making the point that jeep wants to expand to a growing foreign market without the intent of implying the aforementioned.

say what you will about the "obama sheeple" or whatever but this is a poo article.

I think they are complaining the expanded production won't be in the United States. While your analogy isn't far off the mark I think a production facility is a bit different in scope than a presumably small shop.

The important thing is why did they not create the extra production here? Perhaps because the demand for Jeeps isn't enough to outweigh overseas shipping costs assuming not all of these Jeeps will be bought here.

Given the article made it sound like these Jeeps were already going to be sold overseas anyway that makes the most sense at first glance to me.

You're right. You should go explain that nuanced answer to auto workers that would like to build those cars.

Is this not just a typical consequence of a global free market?

Don't believe the left put it quite like that before the election.

You lefties know for certain that you called it a lie to high heaven BEFORE the election. No free market nothing. All denials.

If it had been publicized that Jeeps would in fact be built somewhere else, then Ohio and Michigan would not have been so easy. Better to lie and win than admit the truth and take chances. Especially when the sheep that follow you don't care.

No matter how much they act like truth is important. Winning and agenda always trump

Well I certainly don't know what you are talking about in regards to the statement "you lefties." For your information I did not vote for Barack Obama nor any other democrat except someone I personally know. Just because I do not fully subscribe to your rhetoric does not mean I subscribe to theirs.

So are you saying this was what hinged the election in those states? Interesting, can you show some data or further expound on that point?

oh so mitt romney is now mr. auto industry and midwestern republicans who are otherwise hellbent on busting up the unions are suddenly in their corner? on the other hand, i'm sure auto workers would enjoy having their union castrated as part of an ideological circle jerk and their jobs shipped to right to work states.

do i have to explain again how expanding to a foreign market isn't the same thing as scaling down or outright shutting off US production which was the implication that the romney campaign was trying to make?

you know what the romney campaign meant. you know what message and boogie man they were trying to push. i refuse to believe you are that naive.

"you lefties" goes for the bulk of the tbox posters. It also goes for the media who crowed about Romneys statement, but are silent on the Jeep issue. Not sure where you land typically, so if not a lefty, post not for you.

I took your post directed at me because of the quote. My mistake.

Where exactly do you stand on the issue? Should those Jeeps that aren't being sold in America have for sure been made in America? Or was it simply that you are saying the democrats lied about this to swing the states mentioned previously?
