What record would keep Rivera here after next season?

10-6?
Playoffs regardless of record?
What if by some technicality, we got into the playoffs as a wild card at 8-8?
I think that the magic formula is 9-7, regardless if we get into the playoffs.

i don't care how good they look at the end.
if they have a losing record heading into the bye week...he's gone.
3 losses in a row and he's gone.
losing can't be tolerated at all. if the players don't like him being under the gun like that...too bad. they better step it up.
if he manages to pull off a run in the playoffs or 10 wins, thats not enough for a new contract. he's got to have two winning the seasons in a row to get a new contract. if he can't then we move forward without him.
screw the process...it's time to see results.

Reminds me of the Bears going to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman. Not every sailor on the ship is productive.
