Quick recap of some QBs that have worked under a certain HC

Andrew Luck - Highly touted as best QB prospect since Peyton in Stanford
Alex Smith - Looked decent for the first time in his career after years of being considered a wasted pick
Colin Kaepernick - 2nd year guy with virtually no experience in the league before the season began playing lights out both passing and running at least good enough to earn his team a berth

I think there's a common denominator here

a better question is what would Cam Newton be with Harbaugh as his HC instead of Stoic Ron? You know, the defensive coaching guy who doesn't allow him to audible.

I'm not saying that Cam is dumb and can't learn. He has shown great progress by miles from college to his 2nd yr in the pro. I'm thinking that why Stoic Ron may not let Cam audible plays at the line might have to a lot to deal with Cam still learning and developing. He only had 1yr in a DI school.

His IQ isn't going to be near Luck. And at times you can ask yourself why Cam just threw that int. I too am sick why Cam doesnt get the ability to audible

Cam not audibling had nothing to do with Cam. He actually did his first few games in the league, and quite successfully. That was more a Chud, 'I'm God. Leave my damn plays alone' thing.

And now you're playing into stereo types, cause Andrew Luck didn't perform any better during his rookie season than Cam did, as far as decision making. If anything, you can argue Cam made better decisions, cause he had to both run and pass (and had practically the same responsibility with the pass, putting up better numbers than Luck). Plus Luck was a multi-year starter in Div I, while Cam only played one year. So who's really the smarter QB able to grasp more?

What? The season he's had as a 34 DE is insane. I have a hard time believing a guy like that couldn't translate to a 43 with ease. Forgive me if I'm wrong though, I don't really watch the Texans so I don't know if he is moving to OLB on plays as well, but if he did what he did this year as strictly a 34 lineman to say what you said is kind of bonkers.

Watt is the only one I'd consider instead of Cam because he along with a decent safety would pretty much make this D godlike, IMO.

Also, don't know why people are hating on Kaep. Although, i don't think he'd develop here like he has in SF, he's still a big time young QB. Alex Smith could have never had a game like Kaep had last week.

Watt is a 34 DE in their 34 but I do see him getting snaps at NT when I get the chance to watch them play. In a 43 Defense, he'll play UT. He's still going to be great but statistically, Im not sure if he'll get 21 sacks. But don't trust me, Im not an expert.

Yea, Steve McNair barely passed 55% completion in his collegiate career in the SWAC Conference.

We all should base how well a person will be in the pro off their college career.

lol what the fug kind of statement is this?

What criterion do you think college players should be evaluated on, then? Because the opposite of that would lend everybody to draft players like the Raiders do

Theyre in the same class. Kaep is much faster but not by a huge margin. You making it sound like there's no difference. There's a margin in the comparison of their speed. Trust me. Kaep is a more elusive runner also.

Oxymoron...."Kaep is much faster but not by a huge margin makes 0 sense"

Not only that. But I can't believe this guy thinks Kaep is a "more elusive" runner than Cam.

What film or games is he watching? LOL

That's the beauty of Cam. He's Huge. He's fast. He's very elusive. And very strong (all in one person).

Chuck = Moron

No matter what sport he is talking about.

This equation rings true.
