Were they 2-14 the year before he got there?? I thought they were 6-10, about where we are now.
Harbaugh is a great coach though. No doubt about it.
it took them 8 years of rebuilding after going 2-14 in 2004 to get where they are now.
Harbaugh also had prior head coaching experience and was good at the college level.
This is new to Rivera, but I seriously see improvement in the small mistakes he makes such as time management.
And this team has improved both years that he has been here, and we were looking really good at the unfortunate end of our season.
This team can beat good teams in the NFL. One more year, and Ron Rivera needs to make the 2013 playoffs, or he's outta here.

but they've made it to the playoffs every year since smith and ryan got there and they inherited quite a disaster when they walked in.
they didn't have to wait for years and build slowly. we can laugh all we want at their collossal choke, but at least they got to the playoffs. where have we been? making excuses.
the ravens....john harbaugh and joe flacco walk in and they take a 5-11 team and they get in the playoffs every year since.
jim harbaugh takes a team that hadn't been to the playoffs since 2002....hadn't even had a winning season since then either and what happens when they get rid of that former chicago bear linebacker and pick up a HC that has a clue? year one NFCCG with the has been/never was bust of a QB in the first year and then go to the superbowl the next year with another QB.
it only takes a long time to build a winning franchise if you aren't very good at it.
teams that can win find a way to do it. those that don't make excuses.

Better Oline, WR corps ,defense and special teams.

6-10 with 4 of those wins coming from the then ultra competitive NFC West division which was eventually won by the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks

Have some optimism. By this time next year, we will know what we have to do with Rivera.
I have a feeling that we wont have the slow start next year, and I think that Cam has matured enough to start consistantly leading this team to victory.

Man, what happened to you people, I'm gone for a while, and I come back and this place is depressing.
Have some optimism. By this time next year, we will know what we have to do with Rivera.
I have a feeling that we wont have the slow start next year, and I think that Cam has matured enough to start consistantly leading this team to victory.
lol
every attempt at rationalizing this organization's failures ends with an appeal for optimism
