On Sunday after the Failcon L an idiot fan of theirs attacked a 9er fan, and was stabbed in the neck for his troubles. If Im at Gamestop or whatever and someone attacks me, what am I to do? I dont know the true nature of the threat, and my wellbeing is all that is important. If I stab you in the neck, I stab you in the neck. What say you...?

I say if you're out in public minding your own business and you are attacked and fear for your life, do whatever is necessary to survive, worry about it later.

You do whatever necessary until that person no longer has the ability to hurt you or anyone else nearby.

If he dies, and you were not over the top (like stabbing him/her while they are knocked out) so be it.

Unless you provoked it.

If you escalate a fist fight into a stabbing, you're responsible for the results. If the guy's brandishing a weapon, different story.

I think North Carolina has stand your ground laws. Which means make sure you kill the other guy to avoid him giving his testimony.

Also you're a newb for being at gamestop.

Agree with being responsible for the results, however logic should be used.

If I am in a fist fight, I can promise you that I am looking to get out of it, either by using an object or running.
