Matt "Clutch in the Playoffs" Ryan

I'm not surprised. new coach will want his own guy....and it being schiano he'll want it to be more of a traditional pure pocket passer/hand off to the RB guy.

he's an old school super conservative ball control guy which will always hold them back. that, combined with the fact his team doesn't like him, will mean very limited success and in a year or two they'll be looking for another coach and probably QB as well.

I like our chances to take the division even more.

I see Atlanta Imploding after this loss.

I tried recording "The Biggest Loser" on my DVR Sunday. It kept recording Matt Ryan choking in the second half of the 49ers game for some reason.

i see more of a quiet rotting out from the inside with the real imposion resulting in the coaching staff getting gutted/veterans being cut coming about three or four years down the road.

i'd liken it to our loss in the 2005 NFC championship game. we were on the higher end of average most years after that until we poo the bed in fox's lame duck year and collapsed into rebuilding mode. it was either one problem or it was another in those years-quarterback problems, injuries and inconsistency due to an aging roster, etc. the falcons are getting old on both lines and seemingly don't have a clear succession plan in place so i think they're primed for those kind of issues.
