Some Kuechly and Cam bits from our favorite PFW

Was someone actually arguing that Cam was faster than Squidward?

Edit: I mean, I'm not looking up times but it seems pretty fuging obvious that Cam is slower. Bigger and has a better arm, but definitely slower.

There was a discussion last night, where many were saying (and I agree), that Cam has similar speed to Kaepernick--The 40 times show this. Plus we were arguing that Cam is bigger, shiftier, follows his blockers, is more patient, doesn't have as many big holes as Kaepernick--lately, therefore doesn't get a chance to show off his speed as often.

Plus, I think Cam is a smoother runner in the open field (less moving parts), so that may make Kaepernick appear that much faster when he runs. Cam usually has less big holes, to shoot out the backfield as well. Therefore he's usually probing or juking guys most times.

Obviously, if you're not prepared for Kaep, you're going to give him more space (like Atlanta did), and he'll have more open space to run. Teams are already prepared for Cam in this respect. That's why so many times it seems he's running through a maze just to get a few measly (albeit) spectacular yards.

Im not taking nothing from CK. But, give him Cams patch work O-line and see how good he really is.These cheap shots at Cam are getting old.

They are getting real old and I knew it would happen.

Sorry but the 49ers were already very close to a championship team under nolan and the drafts from he and that GM shows now.

The Panthers are 3-4 years away from being close to that...bad drafts, bad draft choices opting to go on the cheap with Fox in his last year and here we are....oh yeah, not being honest about the 'talent' on this team.

The reality for Colin, give a Pro DC a year's tape on him and things will be different next year.

That said, I like the young man. He does his job and he does it well.

What are you trying to say by that?

What makes Kaepernick such a good runner is that OL and offense. When he rushed for the record 181 yards, 173 of it was before contact. He just took off and ran through wide open lanes. He's faster than Cam in a straight line, but Cam is shiftier and much stronger to run through contact.

I think he's asking you a question, not realizing, these are the PFW writers/analyst who are making the statements about Cam, Luke and Kaepernick?

The following quotes are from NFL scouts, coaches and front-office personnel, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

1st paragraph.

This isn't "the media" or "PFW" hatin' on Cam

Incorrect.

He's saying you can't attribute these comments to media because that's not their source.

These bits are taken from scouts, coaches, GMs, etc. People that work in the NFL, not sportswriters.
