Alot of mocks accross the net have him going in the mid second round, but I've seen more out of him than all of the other DTs with maybe the exception of star. Thoughts? Could we take him at 14?

yes we could. according to Daniel Jeremiah sp he has been the buzz name around the senior bowl from the scouts who could go in the top 10 or something.and he is not there because he is a JR, will quote the blurb when i get home.

He got better as the year progressed. Very underrated. I just do not see too many DTs not named Star going in the top 10.

I dunno, I've watched all the youtube videos I could find of him and I'm just not impressed. I dunno what he's doing at the Senior Bowl, but I don't like "combine risers", which I would include the Senior Bowl a part of. I like to see good game performances, and everything I've seen of Floyd is incredibly underwhelming. Usually get stonewalled at the LOS, occasionally shows an impressive swim move but gets blown back and knocked off balance as often as he makes a good move to get into the backfield (where he often whiffs on tackles). Maybe there's film on him regular people aren't privy to that makes him look a lot more impressive, but there's at least 5 or 6 DTs I'd take ahead of him, maybe more.

he is a true JR so he was not at the senior bowl but was still the topic of conversation so that speaks volumes of how scouts view him. but he did improve throught out the season with his last 2 games being his best vs FSU and Louisville.has the ablity to play the 3 tech or 5 tech and last year line up at DE on both sides.

I really like him as a prospect, but I'm not touching him unless its with our second pick.

DT is such a hard position to grade, everybody has a different opinion on a player.
