Lumps may have changed his name, but his same tired and flawed rhetoric remains.

Despite the current condition of the huddle, messege boards are for the purpose of discussion, though for some it seems to be to have a flaming fit everytime the media reports something inaccurate. What these idiots don't realize is, that is all the time.

It's hard to have relevent conversation with poeple who give a poo what the media thinks.

You missed my point. It's about what is being percieved. After all we are talking about the media are we not? Do they talk about what is or isn't or what is percieved to be? Cam should have at least congratulated and so should RG3. Did smitty not call him out? I think Smitty would like to see that kind of attitude as well.

That is a standard I'd like to see in any QB. Say what you want but the fact remains this fanbase can't get over their homerism. It's there if you want to see it, if not I understand that too, you're a fan of the team and it's hard to admit contributing issues. What is tiring is how you guys think Cam is so perfect, when he clearly has issue controlling emotions among others. What is tiring is the fans who contantley think everyone is out to get Cam.

Is it not obvious these poeple put a lot of weight in media? You think poeple who put that much emotion and weight in media really have an objective opinon? Think about it. But again, people choose to see what they want to see and what they want to see will validate what they believe. If you step outside this box and just try to just observe you might be able to form an opinion based on observation rather than emotion.

People just don't bring up RG3 doing the same thing with the touch down fumble; or Kaepernick spiking the ball after a TD and drawing a penalty; or Brady kicking a defender that wasn't even on him, etc., cause their hopeless homers. They bring it up cause it's a gross double standard, regarding criticism of Cam and the lack of criticism by others when they do similar or the same things. Cam should be judged fairly like anyone else. And he will, when its' by people who don't have a paternal or negative predisposition of him. The ones who do, come off like blowhards.

When Cam yelled at that ref in the Oakland game, some people made a mountain out of it. Considering how beat up Cam was getting, he had a right to be upset. The bump was accidental, and Boger (the Ref) knew it. What makes it so ironic? I can't ever recall Cam yelling at a referee before. Ever! And he even apologized, during the game and at his presser. But some Panther fans were demanding an apology--immediately after the game as if Cam was some kinda repeat Referee offender/Ax murderer. The media will always pick on certain things Cam does and says (until they or the public get tired of it), cause they know Cam draws interest and eyeballs. Simple as that! They don't care.

Yes, Cam should be called out regarding anything blatantly wrong or out of the ordinary he does. However, anything that he does that's expected for his tenure or experience, he should be spoken to and expected to get better, but not castigated for it, like it's something rare or he's some kinda leper That's what people have a problem with.

Sometimes Panther fans act like Cam is their recalcitrant bad child who always gets in trouble, that needs to be constantly monitored and punished, when he's honestly been a model citizen since he's came in the NFL (actually since Blinn Junior College). The rest of it, is just Media BS, cause everyone has their own personality, and not everyone's the same.

You wanna know what? I saw RG3 do the same fuging thing vs the Giants game he lost the fumble and went back to the sideline without congratulating the player who recovered it. Don't give me that bullshit, Cam didn't go back to the sideline and "pout" he went to the sideline and review the plays with Shula, Smith called him out after the GIANTS game, we were playing the bears when he fumbled.

And guess what? Gross says Cam listens to everything they tell him, he listened to the advice Delhomme had to give him. Cam going back into the game after severely spraining his ankle, is what I call being a "leader". Maybe he doesn't do it the way people want him to do it, but he earns the respect of his teammates.

This looks about right except Kaepernick is too high. Imagine Cam behind that o-line and that crop of receivers. He'd honestly be unstoppable. Kaep looks like a beast but I still think talent wise he's a poor man Cam Newton

Kaep may not have cams ability or arm strength but his humility from being a non first rounder makes him happier to be the Qb.

Like I said, I'd hope ANY QB does what I wanted Cam to do. Problem with huddle is they keep comparing him to other QBs and keep caring what the media is saying. Forget about the media, forget about all other qbs, forget about it all. Now, would you want your QB to congratulate a teamate that saved their ass? I just don't understand saying no.

I don't have a major prblem with it whatsoever at this point, because I chalk it up to immarturity which can be fixed with experience. I never said it was unique to Cam, but it matter to me more because Cam is unique to me, being MY QB for 'MY' team. He has the talent. Right now, doesn't bother me, doesn't mean he doesn't have an issue. Doesn't mean I'll sit here and say the issue doesn't exist. I personally think he holds himself back when he gets down in the dumps, and I formed that opinion fom watching him, NOT from the media, and I hope he gets over it which I am sure he will as he grows. I am exited as a fan to see that day come.

I think Cam has a lot of class as far as off field issues, basically non-existant for Cam. I don't think he is a bad boy and I don't think he has character or leadership issues at all. I do think he needs to not let emotions get the better of him and he does need to realize that kind of vibe rubs off on his teamates. Cam himself agrees, and smitty agrees. And when Cam is called out for it, I'll agree, because it reaffirms what I already think seeing him play, as a fan, rather than give me some new concept on him from the media.

But according to the huddle I can't have this opinion, I can't have standards I want in my QB for my team because other Qbs of other teams aren't that way and the media says it too so it can't be a valid opinion, its just some BS formed around the media. Well, not all fans give a poo about the media and other qbs and these fans can still see some of the same things.

That'll be my last post here, too a bit of effort to explain where I'm coming from lol. Like I have said before, forming opinions through the hate of the media is just as bad as forming them through buying into media crap. Whether you hate the media for what it says or buy into what it says you deserve your own misery and invalid perspective because you care what the media thinks.
