Hardcore fans better be ready for some drastic changes. Knowing how JJ likes to reinvent things expect all kinds of changes.

JJ loves Star Wars and turned it down because he wants to see the movie as a fan not as a director..

Like myself, Abrahams was not a fan of Star Trek. That is why he reinvented it to a movie, with a story that would have drawn him in.

I like the Star Trek movie and I thought most of Cloverfield was pretty good minus annoying acting.

I was in like Kindergarten when Episode I came out and I really liked it. I saw Episode II in theaters and thought it had some cool moments but they were outweighed by the boring. I thought Episode III was all around cool and epic but there was really no way they could fug that one up. Looking back though, the prequels were mostly cheesy and took a drastic turn for the worst. While the original trilogy really felt like a big adventure in foreign places with great characters, the prequels felt like high end cartoons with bland characters and you could tell that 90% of it was in front of a green screen. (The same thing that happened to Indiana Jones)

I think JJ is a good choice for making the movies. I've enjoyed all of his films and he has a knack for spectacle and adventure If it's anything like the Star Trek reboot I'll probably love it.

I'm sorry but you are too young to have an opinion.

If you would have kept reading you would have saw that after I grew up I thought the prequels sucked but the originals still help up ;)

Oh I read it... and although I agree with your assessment, my original statement stands. :)

After seeing Ep1, I thought two things:

1) Killing Darth Maul destroyed the one good thing it had going for it
2) I could have been watching The Matrix again

As long as Lucas is never allowed to write any dialogue ever again, it CANNOT be worse

JJ was the best choice and I'm super amped about the movie. While 1, 2 and 3 are ok for what they were. I'm hoping that 7 goes back to the epic journey feeling that the originals had.
