what is horseshit about it?

When Jimmy Clausen was thrown in above his head.....who was bitching him out on field? Pretty sure it was Steve. Smith was suppose to be a vet leader at that point....he made life tougher on the QB and had Dwayne Jarrett aid the rookie WRs heading into the season.

You watched that 2010 version of Smith and think he played hard for Clausen?

Smith is a great WR. He has had tons of issues and still has some of those flaws.

While true.. Steve Smith is still a competitor... And if you had the possibility of scoring a touchdown and a QB overthrew you, wouldn't you bitch about it? I sure as hell would.

Steve Smith has had his issues in the past I agree with you about that but he has matured throughout his career.

Thats what I thought. So I guess Kam was supposed to just let VD catch the ball and walk into the endzone for a touchdown. Seriously a rule like this basically says not to play defense.

why do you think rookie QBs are starting break all the old records and you see multiple 5000 yd passers now. They can't play defense anymore.

You think Jimmy Clausen can overthrow anyone? Especially Steve Smith?

"Throw me the ball.' So I looked up to those guys and figured that that was the way to go, that was the route. But it wasn't. It definitely wasn't the route."

clearly an insult. I could careless though no names needed.

Uh...I think he's saying, he couldn't be like them on that team, he had to change his mindset, cause it wasn't fitting with the coaching regime. He looked up to em, how they were elite, have a bit of attitude, he just overdid it. Cmon Pantheroniess

Basically, Steve was pretty patient considering who his QBs have been over the years, and the fact that Fox wanted conservative play.

Personally I don't believe he was throwing smitty under the bus. Back in the day Smith was a diva. We all know he was. He's changed a lot now, plays with the most passion in the game but he's changed his attitude. He's said it himself. He was younger and when you're young you tend to be more brash than when you're a bit older and more wiser.
