I'm not sure that most UNC fans are all that upset tbh. The general consensus among Tarheel fans is that this is one of our worst teams in a long time and we expect ups and downs (mostly downs). You guys are the only ones making a big deal about the Wolfpack ending the 13 game losing streak against the Tarheels.

While I agree that this UNC team is one of your worst in a while, I will not say it is because talent.

Hairston, Bullock, and McAdoo were ranked higher than any player on NC State's team outside of Purvis who was ranked slightly ahead of Hairston (12 to 13). That to me is laughable. Look at all the talent on UNC's squad, and THIS is a down year?

We FINALLY start recruiting at the same level again and we start beating Duke and UNC. Is it a surprise? No. Guess what? We're here to stay. With 5 and 4 star guys coming in the next couple years this wasn't just a one game thing where our team was just more talented out of happenstance. The Pack is back, and all the whining and moaning the collective 49.7 Million UNC bandwagon fans can muster won't be enough to stop the Pack.

Well thats an oversimplification, mainly because recruit rankings dont equal talent. UNC is clearly lacking backcourt talent this year. State had most of those guys last year and lost 3 times to UNC- do you really think UNC's talent level is comparable to last years squad?

I'm glad state is finally getting some talent, the ACC has been quite boring at the top lately. Though I dont know that the "pack is back" so much as you finally decided to join the party

I do think the star ranking is a tad bit overrated but I agree... UNC has talent but their not flowing well together and possibly not in the right system.

The difference between the two teams is yall have a hell of a combo in Leslie/Howell. Where as we have McAdoo who doesn't play like a big man and Desmond Hubert who is just raw (we're lacking a true Center). Oh and the lack of play at the point

Those 49.7 million UNC Banwagon fans will be headed your way after this season . I have noticed fans who cheered when UNC beat State in football then when State beats Carolina in basketball they posts "Yeah Tarheels and got nothing on NC State #GoPack".
