If it was my kid's dream to play football, I wouldn't dare hold him back.
I can see that. If my sons lived and breathed football and were relentless in their pursuit to play I may have to think on it more.

Luckily for you it doesn't sound like that's the case. Luckily for me I don't have kids and I plan to keep it that way.I can see that. If my sons lived and breathed football and were relentless in their pursuit to play I may have to think on it more.

Please don't troll me but brain injury is very serious and today I found out my younger has brain damage and he never played any contact sports. we bump our heads all the time though out the course of our lives and rarely get treatment. Football players invite this trauma. We can all eat healthy, get doctor checkups but how many people get MRI's or a Cat>...on the reg. Not until we start losing our motor skills.

If I had a kid he could do whatever hobby or play whatever sport he wanted. Gotta let kids make their own choices, I played football, I ride motorcycles. I think people including children should have fun and not worry about the risk.

I'd let my neighbors kid play football. He has already had a dozen emergency room visits from being a dumbass. Might as well strap a helmet and pads on him and turn him lose.

No parent should ever tell any of their kids they cant play a certain sport. It always should be you can do whatever you put your mind to.
