I wish my dad pushed me to play football more. It's a great that teaches you a lot. Any contact support like lacrosse or hockey has the same risk. Risks are apart of life. You can never avoid them.

I will encourage my son to play everything but football despite it being my favorite sport.

Not saying I wouldn't let him....but I definitely will try to steer him to other sports instead.




....also, I am sure he is talking hypothetically. If he had one...

My son played football, basketball, and baseball and soccer (off and on) from youth through high school.

He never got hurt (outside of scratches and bruises) playing football.

He got a concussion playing soccer.

He broke his finger and had to have surgical reconstruction playing basketball.

Poor kid can't even ride in the car under this logic! ATV's and go karts are definitely out of the realm of possibilities! Being a kid just isn't as fun as it used to be! Just living out their wild side killing people on the video games.............seems logical
