Anyone, in the Wilmington area, willing to hire a three time convicted felon (all marijuana arrests) with a masters degree in History, for any job whatsoever?
I can pass a drug test, and haven't used any illegal substances in over 8 years.
Sorry to hear my man.
What type of work are you looking for? Can you do construction?

I'm looking for a bar position. But I do have about 10 years of construction experience. My dad owns a construction company. I ran a crew for him for a long time. The industry is just so volatile. I've gotten a few jobs over the last two years down here, but I always get laid off after the current project and/or immediate need is over. The really good busy companies all won't hire me because of my felonies. It's all meh.Sorry to hear my man.

I'd rather work behind the bar or as a server, it allows me the most flexibility to go back and finish my second degree.

You can come stay at my house if you are in Cali, Floppin. A guy I was good friends with as a kid just moved into my development and wants to hang. Ill tell her you are him and give you biscuits in my garage. All I ask is you patrol my court for these little bastards that broke into my car. We don't judge people with records here, I've been to prison several times myself. I will need a real name though, if I introduce you as Floppin, my wife won't allow either of us to stay in the house for long.
Hahah, thanks. I'm on the NC coast. Cali would be too far from my daughter.

My really close friend owns a BWW down the way, if you hitchhike to Cali, I can get you a bar job I'm sure. Plus I'd like to hear the hitchhike story when you arrive.

Not sure about NC but in California you can expunge if you didn't do prison time for it, completed probation without incident, it didnt involve children or domestic violence, and so long as you aren't currently on probation for something else. The guy I got my armed robbery with got his reduced to a misdemeanor and expunged, firearm rights restored and everything. fuging asshole.I am no lawyer but I don't think you can get any felony convictions expunged from you record in NC can you? I know someone with one here in NC and they were told a Governor's pardon is the only way that can happen on numerous inquiries into it. Anyway, don't want to sidetrack the thread but I ws curious if that is not correct.

Can you get to the city? Do you have a place to stay?
I can ask around but they would probably want you close by.

Yes, and maybe. I have a close friend in the city that might let me stay on his couch till I get enough money together for a place.
