Ban handguns?

I know you are fishing for me. :P

I could/would argue registration of handguns makes a million times more sense than this rifle ban does.

I will promise you all I will not be registering my guns.

The goverent has no business knowing what I possess.

I also believe the gun ban has lost steam.

What happens when the cops pull you over and ask for your registration?

What happens when they want to know about your house for property taxes?

I will hand over my registration to said cop.

I guess they can walk all around my property all they want and survey whatever.

What does this have to do with needing to know what I possess inside my house? Or in my gun case? Lol

Oh, now its "inside your house". You said the government had no business knowing what you possess. I was assuming you actually meant that and not just talking a big game.

Well I normally don't hang my rifles on the tree in my yard.

One question CWG. Do you own any firearms?

nope. I have a permit and a gun lock, but the facts are that you are more likely to have someone killed in your family by your own gun than some outsider. To be what I consider relatively safe, I'd need to spend a ton of money for a biometric safe, spend a lot of hours at the range, etc. and I really don't get into it enough for that. When the kids get older I may get my wifes shotgun from her dads house.

I used to teach .45, Mauser shotgun and M-14 qual classes for submarine crews, was a Nuclear Weapons Security Guard, Topside PO, etc. so I've shot my share of rounds in the past.

CWG was on a sub...although he taught those classes he got more of a charge just doing the Sean Connery impersonation about bullets and things that don't like bullets on a nuclear sub.

CWG is simply scared his younger children would shoot themselves...I gather you never grew up in a household that had weapons when you were younger? And if you were...you currently simply live in an area where the danger is very minimal.
