If Cam Newtons 2nd year was actually his rookie year?

How would you feel about our prospects going forward? So no rushing record, no passing record, you got 1 more win.

I would feel the exact same way I did last year.

and a change at OC.

I'd be more worried about a sophomore slump.

Posting in an IF thread. Leaving now.

How hard is it to not respond if you have nothing to add to the thread. Is your post count sooo important? He carried the team both years. His numbers are down, but the defense is much improved. So I would feel just the same as I did last year. Optimist, but slightly more so. Last year he couldn't close a game out or come back from mistakes against good teams. This year we did both against atlanta and n.o

sooner or later people will move away from Cam setting records and just worry about the W's.

    • A hot steak straight from the grill tastes 1000 times better than any of that stuff to me. I've tried to lie to myself and tell myself it doesn't but it won't work, lol.

    • I like Funchess, but it wasn't that long ago there were huge threads in here about moving KB to TE, trading him or cutting him. I knew throwing in Steve Smith would cause people to compare KB and Smith (not my intention) and not take a real look at how well KB has actually done. I love Benjamin and after two years (one rookie and one post ACL) I think we've seen him dominate enough games to not poo on him as much as we do.

I want Funchess to take the next step but I sure don't think of him as capable of replacing Benjamin as our top WR. If he gets to that point then god help the defenses we face.

One note on the lab disappearances last year. He was coming of an ACL injury which normally means your first year back isn't as good. Wes Welker is a guy I remember that had the same injury and came back a bit earlier and wasn't the same after a 10 month rehab. 40 less catches and 500 less yards. KB had 13 months but you could see how well he started and I think he was going too hard too soon. He looked dominant his first two weeks against Denver and SF. After the season Proehl admitted they thought he was ready too soon and that the strength coach who said he wasn't ready was right.

I'm expecting big things out of KB this year and I'm on his bandwagon already and I really hope the memes have him motivated with a huge chip on his shoulder. I also hope that our new weapons open things up compared to last year where defenses knew we weren't throwing it to our WR3, TE2 and RB. Cover Olsen, KB and Ginn and blitz the rest. Cam didn't stand a chance. I think we may have opened up our WR3 and RB now.

    • To each his own. I think they are supremely flavorful and delicious. Romaine, raw spinach leaves, and cabbage (shredded or in the form of slaw) are pretty much "accepted" ways to eat, but my wife and I (and sometimes my teen son) have just taken it a step further. And let's not talk about all the delicious red, yellow and green peppers. Yummy! Not saying this is you, but sometimes you just have to reprogram your mind and your taste buds. Each veggie and fruit has a flavor and aroma all its own. We destroy so much of the natural flavor and aroma during the cooking process. BTW, nutritionally, blending is superior to juicing.
