:startle:

Similar thing happened to me when I was delivering pizzas. I came back to the store and quit.

$10 on an 85 pizza delivery is cheap... but I don't think the guy should have tipped $292 either.

I would think $50 would be about right.

That is what I was thinking.

The 20% tip for a waitress/waiter is for....taking your order, bringing your food, keep filling your drinks, clear the table, etc....

Handing you a box at the door for pizza would not be the same level of service.

If you order 1500 dollars worth of pizza you can't be like BRO I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY and stiff the dude.

Damn even if I wanted to be cheap, I still would have made it an even $1500.

While I don't disagree with your sentiment here... all we see is the receipt. Maybe this was for some organization? I mean who orders 85 pizzas? Maybe they didn't have the extra funds? I'm not making any assumptions... I think $10 was a very cheap tip, but we also don't know the entire situation.

I looked at reddit and there is no further explanation that I saw.

$50 bucks would have been about right. It is not like he should get the same tip for making 85 trips.

common sense here

In the case of pizza delivery, especially on such a large order, I'd say $50 would be more than enough. $10 is a little cheap, but the likely reality is that the driver made one trip, just like he would on any other order. I'd be willing to bet that whomever ordered 85 pizzas was also standing by waiting for said pizzas with a cart or extra hands to receive the order upon delivery.

I would have gone with $100 but $50 would be fine.

Dealing with 85 pizzas would take a long time. He probably missed a few trips
