It sounds like more service...

One only has to bring it from the kitchen to the table and the other brings it from the kitchen all the way to your front door.

Ok....driving to your house (being paid for gas and mileage) and handing you a pizza is not the same level of service as a waitress/waiter gives in a restaurant.

i worked as a driver for 2 years, never got paid for gas or mileage.

It's definitely a service... and didn't we have this same conversation in either this thread or the other one?

What is "appropriate" to tip in this situation? What about when you pick up your own? Do you tip then? I generally don't.

I think the driver bringing food (in this case pizzas) to you is a service and should be tipped... but should it be 15-20% like a server at a restaurant? My opinion is no.

Papa John's put an flyer on the pizza I ordered a few days ago needing drivers.

Said they paid benefits, paid time off, AND mileage/gas.

So... I believe you are wrong.

Sorry to disagree with you hatter but he is right....

The benefits are for full time employees and due to obama care they don't have full timers anymore.

just to be clear john schnatter is worth 600 million and his cutting of full timers was probably due more to wanting to make a political point than his business failing because of those darned poors daring to ask for a second scoop of gruel

Is Papa John's a franchise-run chain or does he actually own each store? Does anyone know?
