While statistics cannot determine the best course of action for your own life or that of your family, bear in mind that the weight of statistical evidence does not support the notion that carrying a gun will make you safer. The evidence tends to suggest the opposite proposition. Obvious, but the mentality is that happens to other people, not me. Why I don't own a gun - the odds are better myself or my family will be shot by my gun than anyone else.

Pretty sure possessing a firearm makes you more safe than without.

Ask the lady that got robbed while getting money out of the ATM this morning here in the small town of Leicester NC. Just opened her passenger door and took her purse.

We also have started a coalition against home invasions here in Leicester. 24 break ins/ thefts to local businesses and residences in thepast week. We are calling for their detainment or death. And that's what they deserve.

No it doesn't. Proper training in storage and handling of firearms is a must. My 5 year old girl is pretty accurate with her BB gun. And she handles it like a pro. Muzzle towards the ground....until you see that squirrel.
