Toronto gets: Rudy Gay, Hamed Haddadi (buyout probable)

I'm really surprised Memphis did this since they already traded to get under the luxury tax. I guess they liked the youth/ depth/ cap flexibility this trade gives them, but I think their lack of scoring and shooting on the wings could be an issue especially after they let Mayo go in the offseason

Not sure what the fug Toronto is trying to do here. Trading Davis after he finally starts producing (while filling in for injuries) makes it seem like they want to cash in while his value is high, but moving Calderon's expiring for Rudy Gay means they now have no cap space for 3 years with a mediocre team filled with injury prone guys in their late 20s. They now have $47 mil owed to just Gay/ Bargnani/ Amir Johnson/ Landry Fields in the 2014/15 season

yeah seems like a logjam at SG/SF for raptors, DeRozan, Fields, Terrence Ross, Rudy Gay, Allen Anderson, Pietrus, Kleiza.

Memphis did it early to get under the lux tax for next season and the following season. It gives them a bit of maneuverability in their roster makeup.

Yup! I'd love to have Calderon on this team next year. Those Spainard PGs are some beasts!
