Alabama hostage situation enters 3rd day

14 posts in this topic

The hostage situation in Midland City, Ala., is approaching its third day with no new developments.

“We really don’t have a whole lot to add. I hate to tell you that, but that’s the way it is,” said Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson at a morning news conference in which he refused to answer questions about the 5-year-old kidnapped from a school bus Tuesday afternoon or the 65-year-old man holding him.

That man, Jimmy Lee Dykes, reportedlystopped a school bus on a dirt road about 3:35 p.m., shooting the driver four times with a pistol before seizing a random kindergartner and returning to an underground bunker on his property.

I hope the kid gets out OK and then they torture this crazy old fug for a few days. If you flip out don't take children with you.

I read elsewhere that the poor kid fainted and that is why the man took him. What a nightmare for both the kids and parents.

Bury this old guy alive. It's funny how crazy fuggers always have a name like "Jimmy Lee"

    • This Quincy Adeboyejo looks good.  Top SPARQ, good vids around, seems like an interesting prospect at WR.
    •   Sorry, but...IMO, if Allen can't really move outside, then I am not sure I want him at 8. However, I could see going with a DE that can slide inside. We just took Butler last year, not sure we need to go again this year. Especially at 8. We have to see what Butler has. Aaannnddd....we still have a shot at keeping KK. Drafting a DT, especially at 8, just does not make sense to me. Plus, we have Love on a 2 year deal. IMO, we need to let the DT position play itself out before we address it.   Now a WR at 8? That would be bold. Or do you mean in the 2nd? If so, I would not be adverse to picking a solid looking slot guy. I don't care about the route tree, as long as he has some wiggle, and good hands. Preferably a kid that returned punts. Those guys always have some wiggle. Or at least some of them anywho.   To be fair. Most coaches would play more rookies...if they trusted them. Rookies make mistakes. Coaches lose jobs when too many mistakes are made. Hence why most FO guys will take a well rounded vet over a promising rookie every time.   I don't care who you are. If your gonads ain't tingling at the thought of what this draft could provide? You may either be dead. Or you may just be too casual of a fan.
    • are you guys saying he'll be corner going solely based off his combine stats and weight? why would he not be a S?
