Here is my question to all of you...
Do you all think a core of Kemba, McClemore or Shabazz, MKG, Jefferson and Biz is a future championship team? I feel like this is a future playoff team but will constantly lose in the first or second round.

So do we sign a max player i.e Jefferson this year or try and build thru the draft one more yr and hope to get lucky with the "superstar 2014" class?
[/quote]

We'll have to build through the draft in 2014. That's a badddda$$$$ draft!

I'm taking some heat on this for a while but im sticking to it. If we want to win a Championship or just games in the Playoffs, Kemba at PG isnt the answer. We can use an upgrade there. Kemba is a great 6th man who change the pace of the game and give you points when needed. Overall, Kemba isn't the long term answer at PG if he doesn't improve his game dramatically.

Wishful thinking, but now if a back court of CP3, McLemore, and MKG? Of course

For the 14th pick, I take one of Isaiah Austin (if he falls) or Mason Plumlee.

Plumlee essentially has the talent level of Zeller and can be had at a later pick.

I'm also on board with Jefferson, he is a must sign.

What about Willie Cauley-Stein?

I doubt he falls that far, too much potential and an NBA body.

I'm looking at McCollum or Oladipo with Portland's pick. This is assuming that a big is taken with our own pick.

Char pick- Noel/Bennett/Len/Zeller
Por pick- McCollum/Oladipo

or

Char pick- Bazz (please no)/McLemore
Por pick- Olynyk (please no)/Plumlee

I like that first draft. I would be happy with any of those bigs and McCollum and Oladipo could be great off the bench. I think both have the potential to become starters as well, but great off the bench if not.

I'm starting to like a Combo Of Alex Len with the 1st pick and Oladipo with the second 1st round pick.

My personal opinion is we should stay the course. I really like our young players. They play extremely hard and with a few more pieces we got a great chance to make noise. Carolina-chuck I know you want CP3 and who wouldn't but if we got him next year that would do nothing for us but make us a treadmill team and we would lose out on the potential of the 2014 draft. My hope is we stay the course and don't pick up any costly players unless it is a superstar! We shouldn't overpay just bc we are Charlotte!

My dream:

PG: Walker
SG: One of these 6 players or MKG depending on height/quickness
SF: One of the players below or MKG depending on height/strength
PF: Noel/Anthony
C: BIz

I put Biz as Center because he doesn't have good enough lateral movement to cover PFs and he goes for too many fakes. But I feel Noel can guard either position.

I'll keep on saying it. We can have this debate till Kemba retire if you want.

Fans these days are pleased with any performance they can get. Kemba is last year Hendo and Lafell. People just want to love them.

Kemba is a kid you just have to love. Great kid! Proven player in college and won at the big stage. Though the NBA isn't the college. His size is going to hurt him here and there through out his career, especially being a two guard who is best suited as a shooting PG. He's not a polished passer like elsewhere. His size is going to hurt him bc he's going to have a tough time creating space for room to shoot. He's not Westbrook or Lillard.
This is my question: Do you think we can win a championship with Kemba?

I see your point. I'm just not sure if Kemba can take us all the way. Seeing CP3 and Kobe go at it was ridiculous! CP3 is a top 3-5 players in this league.

But yea I can see Kemba achieving if we surround him with player like McLemore and Wiggins. That's my dream.

Though, I'm not real sure if we'll even be up for the Wiggins discussion by then. And I hope we don't. Bc Wiggins is another 6'8 SF. What are we going to do with MKG? Spending a no.2 overall pick on a SF to come off the bench behind Wiggins? No way.

I rather we go with Julius Randle a 6'9 PF.

Henderson last season: 15.1 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal per game (best season in 4-year career)
Walker this season: 17.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 2 steals per game in his 2nd year

Kemba is a much better PG than Henderson or MKG will ever be at their respective positions. You mentioned he needs to improve "dramatically," and he already has.

You're no different than the idiots who said the Panthers needed to start Anderson last fall.

You're letting your bias against Walker cloud your judgment. You've championed the cause of drafting a PG in the 1st (Myck Kabongo) and said Jordan will sign Paul.

However, Cho and Dunlap disagree with you. Dunlap was quoted in an Observer story saying "Kemba is our QB. We are building the franchise around him."

Kemba is the franchise PG. Want more reasons?

Rajon Rondo's second season in the NBA...
10.6 points, 4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.7 steals per game

I'm no longer arguing with you on your Kemba hate, because the Bobcats, myself, NBA writers, opposing coaches and players (i.e. Erik Spoelstra) and most fans agree he's the PG.
