It looks gritty and somewhat realistic as opposed to cheesy like the Arnold version, and obviously Colin Farrell is a much better actor than Schwarzanegger.

does he pull anything out of his nose?
No. This time it's his hand.
The new total recall was entertaining but it didn't break any grounds nor did it make me want to watch it again. I felt like i got my moneys worth because to me its what total recall would of been if they had our type of CGI back then. plus having the girls with the three boobs helps as well very suckable.
I actually could have lived without her.

Plus the original kinda left you thinking, was this the implanted memory? But in the remake, you know right away that it's "real" and not a memory.

Gotta go to Mars for it really to be Total Recall.

They still dropped some hints, even at the end with the "Rekall" billboard, that it might be a dream.
I will grant there were parts of it that could have been better executed, but that's true of the original also.

the fat redheaded lady looked exactly like the one from the original, I got a snicker out of it.

Stylistic and overall, a just-above-average action flick with solid actors
The old one is a classic but I think its honestly a great story poorly executed. JAAF (Just Another Arnold Flick)

The new one reminded me of movies like Surrogates or I Robot
