I wouldn't say Luke's brains as much as his character. Non-stop, bring it every play, fight til you're dead type approach to the game... If Peppers had that, he would have been considered one of the best defensive players in history. Much like we think of Butkus, Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White now.

All those things come from his brain.

Ok, fair enough. I thought he was referring to intelligence - recognizing plays, etc.

One thing though, put Keeks heart in Peppers and you have the best DE in history.

Put Keeks heart in Keek and you very well could have one of the best LB i a loooong time.

I bet Luke won't disappear if we ever make it to the playoffs too.

Are you fuging kidding me with this bump. Hardy and Johnson are far better DE than Peppers, we don't miss his laziness, CJ and the Kraken bring it for 4 quarters, doesn't matter who they line up against and you better bet your ass that a TE could not block Greg Hardy 1 on 1. fug YOU JULIUS PEPPERS!

Luke is better for this team than Peppers ever was. Pep didn't want the fame or the pressure. Luke is begging for it. I love my new leader on this defense. I'm such a Tar Heel homer it's ridiculous so don't give me that hater bullshit. I'm looking at the two and honestly even if you dangled a pep in his prime and a rookie Luke at me I'd take Luke 10/10 times. Laugh or call me stoopid or whatever you want but Pep doesn't hold a candle to what this kid, Luke can do for us. CJ is the better end right now anyways, win/win bitches.

From the article linked above...

But in the final two years of Peppers’ deal, his cap numbers rise. In 2014, Peppers’ cap number grows from $17.183 million to $18.183 million. In 2015, Peppers’ cap number grows to $20.683 million.

If you're the Bears, do you keep him at that price?
