Two hands immediately on a wr past 5yards is a auto holding call.. It was blatant on the cb who was hoping on the refs to swallow the whistle. Phil Simms trying to say Crabtree was pushing off as he was trying to get away from his hold.

How about the helmet to helmet hit on the play before that was never acknowledged?

If this was a Panthers game my head woulda imploded!

If I was a ref I would have called it. That's the only way I can really look at it and give you an answer. Still I think the 49er fans crying that they got robbed are babies.

It was a missed call. He didn't give Crabtree a chance to make a play on the ball. If he is free and jumps, the ball may have been catchable.

It was only a foot past his outstretched arms. He could have easily caught it without the hold. The ball barely landed out of bounds, so he definitely could have got his feet in bounds.

Also, catchability doesn't matter all that much on a holding call.

I say no. The calls were consistent throughout the game. There were numerous plays where I could see a P.I. called but for the most part the refs let them play.

The play IMO was called right. The WR initiated the contact and the pass was uncatchable. Even if he catches the ball I don't believe he would have caught it in bounds.

Finally if those that want to scream the Niners got ripped off maybe they should go look at the late hit on Flacco out of bounds. The refs call that hit. Game over and the Niners never touch the ball again.
