...in his comments on WFNZ today.

Smith stated that last night's game showed why it was "not here to stay" and described it as something you put in your playbook "in pencil". He believes it can serve as something you throw in sometimes but that you can't use it as a base offense. He believes pro style offense is, and should remain, the norm.

Smith is obviously in a position to know the pro game way better than fans, though It's fair to note that his experience as part of a read option offense was far from positive.

The question would be whether he's making solid analysis in this or if his opinion is skewed because of the Panthers early season struggles.

Isn't it obvious?

A fad, nothing more.

It's a change up.
Anything done too much is easy to counter.

It should be part of our offense, not the basis of our offense.

Solid analysis based in part on first-hand experience, I'd presume.

He's right. I'd expect Cam to say much the same considering how Chud destroyed our offense using it as a base offense to start the season.

An offense that puts up 31 points in the SB and averages 35 points in the playoffs is unsuccessful.

Ok, Steve.
