I honestly think DeAngelo will be a Panther to at least start the season. May look at a midseason trade to see if anyone's starting back goes down and we can extract some value. Otherwise, I would think he'd be released after this season when the cap hit becomes more manageable.
Do you think that Gettleman is looking at these contracts thinking what in the world was this guy trying to do? I remember that Hurney would always try and get guys to restructure, but what was his plans this time? He had no reason to give out the astronomical money to D-lo, J-Stew, and Charles Johnson. Shrewd negotiator he was not.
