We should be thinking of bargain WRs who may help elevate our offense. The Ravens will likely have to cut either Anquan Boldin ($5.5m cleared off cap) or Jacoby Jones ($3.5m) as they are projected to be $5m over the 2013 cap without accounting for Flacco's new contract/franchise tag. At a minimum, Flacco will be franchised at $14.6m which would then put the Ravens nearly $20m over the cap. I can't see both Boldin and Jones being retained in Baltimore, and either of the two would be much cheaper than Wallace and work fine opposite Smith (Boldin especially).

Analysts will say we should target Wallace. When we don't/can't because of the cap, they will call our off-season a failure where we disregarded needs.

Shore up the o-line and I think our current group of receivers would look alot better. And/or spend the money on secondary and interior d-line...stop teams at the ends of game when they get pass happy. I actually like our core offense and believe that if our play-calling hadn't been so...experimental we would could and will have a top ten offense.

Smitty could have both his legs amputated and many still wouldn't think we should part with him.

Better question, if you could see into the future and knew Smith was going to walk away and retire after the 2013 season......would you make that move now?

Wallace would be a great fit, but I'm not sure we can make the $ work.
