Jonathan Jones@jjones9
RT @David_Ely: Per @nfl researchers, @Panthers will face the toughest schedule in the NFL next year. Opponents went 138-116-2 (.543) in 2012

LOL.

The Panther's started at 10th (.508) in SOS and ended up at 9th overall (.516)) in 2012. Difference in Schedule was 2 wins for Panther's opponents.

In 2011 the Panthers started at 1st (.555) in SOS and ended up at 14th overall (.504) in 2011. Difference in schedule was 13 wins for Panther's opponents.

or

2012 - 130 wins for opponents vs 132 wins for opponents.
2011 - 142 wins for opponents vs 129 wins for opponents.

15 games over a total of 512 games was the difference in the SOS differences for the Panther's over those two years. SOS means jack crap unless the season is over and you didn't make the playoff's. "It's used as a tie breaker for even record teams."

Add in New England, the rest of the AFC East sucks. We finished second and will play the Niners and seachickens next year too. Strength of schedule is very misleading in the nfl.
