Carolina already has 1 WR that the team pretty much has to make special rules for and be on the watch for. Granted, Smith's moments are all football related and not off field but you don't need 2 WRs you have to keep an eye on.

Like I've said, this is a critical year for the panthers.
However - he's the worst kind of criminal. He has talent. Someone will always take a chance on him and will have more than a fair amount of "second chances."

Do you think he would come here, keep his mouth shut, and stay off the police blotter?
We aren't the Patriots. This guy would be terrorizing tax payers by week 5.

they aren't apples to apples....but both qualify....

Smitty loves to wrestle DB's, but at this point in his life/career, I don't think the team needs to keep an eye on him. All he does is family when he's not playing ball.

I'd do it for a 4th. Very good WR
A 4th rounder for him is a steal. I totally agree.

I don't know if it is a steal. Brandon Lloyd led the league and was unloaded for a 5th. Randy Moss was traded for a 4th to NE where he tore it up.
I know Britt is younger but I think a third would be way to much for a middle of the road player. I think Brandon Marshall went for a 3rd.

Maybe change of scenery and Steve Smith mentor would be good for him. I'd spend a 4th on him.
Steve Smith mentor Britt?
Knowing Britt's attitude, Smitty would end up decking the punk.
