well in today's NFL the #3 WR is a starter.the new WR will be top 3 on the depth chart with this group of WRs.
Well I really don't see the logic of spending a 1st round pick on a number #3 WR .

Did you not see how horrid the OL was last season? Even with Kalil early on it was bad.
You can never assume that it will improve by "default". Nothing ever does in the NFL. The OL was considered a prized strength of the Panthers before the start of the season last year and it turned out to be far from it.
The WR class this year is bottom heavy...good solid talent in the later rounds but not so much in the 1st. The same can't be said for OL which is fairly top heavy. Might as well take advantage of the oppurtunity to grab a great OG (yes, Warmack is considered to be a mid 1st round pick so he's not a reach) or another solid OL. DT and secondary would also be better than WR in the 1st.
Yes, LaFell sucks ass. But with this deep draft class, it should be fairly easy to replace him later in the draft. Or...go fishing in FA.

guys don't argue with koolkatluke he's obciously right we don't need a WR.
I mean Beason said that we need a WR and even mentioned the idea of taking one in the first round but hey what does Beason know?

Let's see. 4 th year pro with 3 years in the same system with the same QB and is rated to have some of the best hands when targeted. Vs a rookie in a weak wr class. Yeah that is laughable.

Beason didn't think we needed a Lb last year.

The only time Lafell is open is when he finds holes in zone defenses. He rarely gets open when he is covered man to man. And trust me i am not talking out my ass. I went back and watched most of the games. This is based off his targets and catches i have watched. Great number 3 option as a WR.

many rookies or second year players, who have never saw the field, have came in and did good.

,
Steve Smith was on the radio 2 weeks ago and said he didn't think we needed another Wr. He loves Lafell and praised his work ethic. So you think you know better then the panthers best wr.

why not if he is a starter? again look at how many times a team is in a 3 WR set.plus with the group of WRs on this team he will be top 3 on the depth chart.Well I really don't see the logic of spending a 1st round pick on a number #3 WR .
