UNC vs #2 Duke

118 posts in this topic

I post something nice and am sooooooo shocked to see the whining ... Duke had like a million fouls you shot about 20 more free throws and you still cry about the refs. Unbelievable

Not gonna lie we deserved to lose because of the FT line stats.. But Plumlee got away with way too much and there were questionable calls.

He had four fouls foul

Well he had at least 5 by my count ;)

The refs didnt decide the game, but you got all the calls down the stretch. Dont worry, no one is really too surprised or worried about it

Of course everyone says that. Its a completely bias statement. I think every call against Duke is bad too. If jmm wants fouls on plumlee then dont rocket yourself ten yards back sliding on the floor. You heels hate the flop because your boys clearly dont know how to do it.

Come on now, I know Dukies can subtract better than that =)

I have nothing against the flop. But if the ref falls for it than he messed up

My thoughts exatctly mane... Roy better have them boys doing nothing but FT's and have Hairston do nothing but guard the three

So you didnt have a problem with the million fouls? And i dont count the last 8 bc those were intentional

Oh I thought there were too many fouls the entire game. Particularly in the 2nd half the refs were calling a bunch of touch fouls on the perimeter that are unnecessary and just slow the game down

What calls? The ones when the heels were sending them to the line to stop the clock, the one where sully got shoved in the back? The one where thornton got called for holding when he was hip checked on a moving screen first? Please explain

    • I was a Marine Brat at Camp Lejeune NC and graduated from CLHS in 1978 and on 28 June 1978 I joined the Navy.  I retired On June 30th 2003 after 25 yrs of Naval Service and have been serving overseas to support our troops ever since. I was in Tikrit when they captured Saddam.  Soldiers from our base were the ones who actually found him.  I have been in places in Iraq called Mosul, Al Asad, and Al Kut,  I have been in Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan.  The living hell hole called FOB Shank were incoming was a daily encounter. You see young soldiers who don't even shave yet.  Some look like they lied to get in.  Men and women from every walk of life.  Putting that uniform on.  So needless to say, I am very attached and proud of every one of them.  Whether they know me or not.  Tears fill my eyes every time we lose one. (Just lost one last week). This video, I saw when it was originally aired, still make me water up.   I challenge anybody to show me a more military dedicated team, in ANY LEAGUE, ANY SPORT, that supports the troops like the Carolina Panthers.  I'll give my hated Yankees a close 2nd. ($10,00 ticket with a military ID) **at old Yankee Stadium. Carolina is a class act, plain and simple. Thanks for posting this again,
