Bradley Cooper really surprised me though, he did great. Thought the movie was pretty good.

She's very overrated when it comes to looks and acting skills.
Going to have to disagree with you there. Not sure about the acting skills because I've only seen her in the Hunger Games (that I know of) and she did nothing for me at the time but she is my new "it" girl. I think she is stunningly beautiful and her personality from what I can tell in interviews puts her over the top. The girl is incredible.

She has an annoying overplayed awkwardness about her personality though. It's just strange and those are the kind of girls that are intentionally "weird" and strive to be overly different and strange just for the sake of being different.
That's just me though. Plus I don't think she's attractive, but I've been known to have a weird taste.

I have to admit that she doesn't ooze Oscar performance, but I thought she did a very nice job. Her and Bradley Cooper's chemistry was awesome. I really hope DeNiro can edge off Waltz for the Oscar
No no no, you thought DeNiro did better than Waltz!?
The best supporting actor of the year wasn't even nominated though, Dwight Henry in Beasts Of The Southern Wild was probably the most emotion I've seen put into an acting performance in a loooong time.

We need to get used to movies in which characters show realistic emotion and aren't on the 27th take of a scene in which their movements need to be perfectly calculated. Minimalism/realism is the next big thing in movies because it will gel with the viewers.

Lawrence is supposedly a lock for an Oscar
Lead actress is diverse, but weak this year. The girl from Zero Dark Thirty will probably win, but I think Quvenzhane Wallis deserves it. Being 9 years old is a blessing and a curse. She got noticed because of her brilliant acting at such a young age, but she also wont win the Oscar because the voters wont be able to see how a 9 year old truly performed better than the 25-80 year olds, or whatever the ridiculous age span is this year.

I get the overplayed awkwardness thing about her personality....good point. Right now I find it attractive but defitnitely see how it could get old rather quickly.

Really...!? Well, that's strange. I really don't get the major buzz behind that performance still.

Watch "Winter's Bone".
Never got around to seeing that one. Just from the, what, 3 movies I've seen with her (?), she has still yet to impress me at the level some people are supposedly seeing.

Winter's Bone is probably her best flick, and it was up for best picture too I believe. That movie+Silver Linings Playbook puts her up there on top actresses right now. She just has to stay away from bad movies like House at the End of the Street. Hopefully an Oscar will help her do that.
