It's completely within their right to write their own laws...up until that Bill of Rights comes into play and it gets smacked down at the USSC.

It was hard to make it past pistol grip = assault weapon.
I struggled past the part about a shroud that prevents the shooter from burning himself = assault weapon.
But yeah, that exemption for government employees was strike three.
