Well even if these figures are currently up to date. Which I doubt it. The Panthers would be still 5 million over the cap and not under. 121 million is the current cap for each team this coming year. Panthers would need to cut 10 million more to get under and have some money to work with to sign a few decent FAs and pay the rookies as well. Still got a ways to go right now.Going by someone else on another site but here's the link they said

I'm sure Genttlemen knows what he is doing. He is trying do what he can to help free up cap for this season and for years to come. This ain't Hurney ya know. LOLNot meant to disparage Kalil but the way I read this he is getting the the same money, just getting more now and allowing us to spread it out by converting to signing Bonus, not necessarily some great noble gestureI

What I would do... Cut Gamble, Restructure Gross/Beason/ and try to re-work DWill's deal. Realease Nakamura and maybe R. Edwards. Sign Canty and fill depth needs. If Person's numbers are correct, cutting Gamble would now get the Panthers under the cap (though not by much)
Making monetary sense of Panthers' moves
