JaMarcus' Road Back (Episode 1-2)

I wish nothing but the best for him in his return. People forget how gifted of an athlete he is sometimes. It was always the work ethic holding him back and i'm glad to see he may finally get it.

Money is a helluva motivator.

That signing bonus got spent on "purple drank"

I hope he fails miserably. Again.

Episode two now in the OP

I think he has a good cast surrounding him.... But what I don't get is they want him to get back to what he was when he was with the Raiders. Why not try to make him better? They want him to weigh 265 and run a 4.8 40... Why not try to get him to 245-250 and have him run a 4.6?? You got to have him better than what he was in Oakland (shrugs).

I love his natural ability. It's unreal. Even at 320 pounds fat he's more athletic than most when they are 180. The biggest thing is proving his head is in it.

I agree but I feel they should push him to better himself from what he was in Oakland...

I don't know why I'm rooting for his successful return, but I'd like to see a success story come from this.

the problem has never been his physical ability it whether he wants it bad enough mentally.

you got to get in football shape.you got to study defense and work on being more accurate with your passes. you cant stare down your wideouts and you have to go through your progressions. you have to be able to be mobile enough to extend plays and have a quick release to get the ball out. you got to stop being lazy and work over time. you got to be a leader on the field first then be a leader off the field. no one is gonna listen to you if you cant play. you gotta perform under pressure and have the will of a lion to never give up.

and most of all ignore the fuging media.

My boy said he saw this the other day...said he was pretty inaccurate with his throws. He needs to get that weight down to about 240-250. I'm rooting for him

Yeah when they had him exhausted he was overthrowing his targets pretty bad...

I agree I think his game weight should be about 250-245 but they want him at 265, also think he should try and run a 4.6 instead of a 4.8 but I'm not running a training program so what do I know? lol. I hope he succeeds as well he's working hard for it at least

    • IMO, it is obvious, to me anyhow, that the kid has matured. He has taken heat for standing up for what he believes, and has done it the right way. No snarky comments to the press. Keeping his head down, and working toward a goal. He has brought to light injustices not only in our country, but in others as well. His foundation just contributed over a million and a half dollars to the Simolian relief effort.   All that is admirable to be sure. And he can play football as well, or better, than enough QBs to earn himself a shot at a job.   It is not the football side of his life that is keeping him off teams. Almost every team hates distractions. It is just how it is. And Kaep is a walking distraction at this point in time.   I would like to add that another thought could be that at this point in FA, no one is being signed. OK, maybe a better way to put that is, FA spending has slowed considerably.   If teams head to Training Camp and he is still unemployed. Then I may start believing in conspiracies.
    • lol lol lol fahey watched every snap of every game and graded the quarterbacks as he saw it. kaepernick is a fine game manager who was let down repeatedly by perhaps the shittiest set of skill position players in the league and oh yeah he can run like the wind. you've got to be pretty stupid to think this is anything but a quarterback starved league blackballing a serviceable quarterback all because he had the audamndacity to protest racism in america and tbh i've not seen one post itt that would cause me to even begin to question that.
    • Smaller and slower. I'd prefer Howard but this guy could be more likely after our first pick
