Miami's going to have to at least make the final four to be remotely relevant in basketball. Plenty of teams have had great seasons and fizzled in the tourney.

^That won't even do it. Sustained success will make them truly relevant. Not one good year.

Hell, it took Butler years of knocking on the door, tournament success and a national title game to become a household name.

While that's true, a final four is the step in the right direction. I kind of like Miami's team, they have a bunch of veterans and play smart. The real test comes in the next few years to see what they can do with the success of this year. And by success, I mean winning the ACC, since that is pretty much a wrap at this point barring some catastrophe.

Would still like to see them make a final four. Other than dook and Miami I don't see any other ACC teams making the final four this year. NC State has a shot I suppose but they are much too erratic. UNC would have to have nothing short of a miracle to even sniff the final four this year. We are playing better with the smaller lineup but I don't see that lineup beating teams with dominant front lines (unless we can get hot from 3)

I know you are new to college basketball but you are supposed to beat Clemson

This is funny because its true.

Miami will be on probation next year & they're going to take some hits to the NBA. BWood is going to transform in to a UCLA fan.

I'm kinda getting tired of winning...it's so weird to actually have a winning team...

It gets more tiring when you do it year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year after year. But the u basketball wouldn't know about that. I suppose we should let you have your one season of glory

    • OL model is probably Dallas and they committed to drafting talent. Two legit first round tackles and a late first rounder at center. Only first four rounds for them: 2011 Draft    Round    Pick #    Overall    Name    Position    College
1    9    9    Tyron Smith    Offensive Tackle    USC
4    13    110    David Arkin    Guard    Missouri State
      2013
          1    31    31    Travis Frederick    Center    Wisconsin
2    15    47    Gavin Escobar    Tight End    San Diego State
      2014
1    16    16    Zack Martin    Offensive Tackle    Notre Dame
      2015
3    27    91    Chaz Green    Offensive Tackle    Florida Panthers during the same time frame, in all rounds. 2011 Draft    Round    Pick #    Overall Pick #    Player    Position    College
6    38    203    Zachary Williams    Center    Washington State
          7    41    244    Lee Ziemba    Tackle    Auburn
      2012
2    8    40    Amini Silatolu    Guard    Midwestern State
      2013
4    11    108    Edmund Kugbila    Offensive Guard    Valdosta State
      2014
3    28    92    Trai Turner    Offensive Guard    LSU
4    3    102    Daryl Williams    Offensive Tackle    Oklahoma
        Luckily 2014 panned out.
    • Panthers have met with potential second round safety and combine phenom Obi Melifonwu     Begin exuberance now
    • Hoping the details show a pay cut, not a Hurney style restructure pushing guarantees down the road for a player who is past his prime.
