Do you know what the actual difference is between the "hunting" rifle and the "assault" rifle?

Would nothing be = to: Hunting, varmint control, hobby, competition, self defense?

Where is the picture of a baseball bat?

Oh they didn't include it because you cant put sport under one and then act like an AR doesn't have a valid use beyond killing people.

You want to see a valid use for AR? Join the Army. Other than that, there is none

As much as you may not want it to be shooting targets is in fact a valid use.

The Army does not use the AR. This is what I mean when asking you if you know the difference in the two rifles.

The weapon system that the Army uses is nothing like the guns that are available to civilians.

And yes, there are plenty of uses of the AR 15 type rifle.

The AR in the AR-15 does not stand for Assault Rifle.

The M-16 is a fully automatic rifle, something that we, as civilians, unless under extreme circumstances cannot purchase.

I understand that. But it's an assault rifle. If you need it to hunt animals, you need another hobby.

Sometimes hunting animals is required to live.

No it's not. Please stop saying that, you are following the liberal party line on this one. Do some research before typing.

I will ask you again, what is the difference between the two rifles, and what makes the AR-15 an assault rifle and not the other?

I know plenty of people who hunt with AR-15 and AK-47 rifles. SKS rifles as well. But like others have pointed out. AR-15 is not an actual assault rifle. To claim otherwise is ignorance.

Also I own an AK-47 and my father owns two rifles. I take all 3 out target shooting. As you may not be someone familiar with guns take my word for it. They all function the same. My semi auto AK-47 just looks like the fully automatics you see in movies. I can do the same thing with all 3 rifles, but the anti gun crowd doesn't like to hear that.

so is gathering berries

in prehistoric times.

It's not required.

Let's talk more about creating laws that cater to a small %. :)

If you want to own an assault weapon then deal with it.

Just when you think that you have heard the most ignorant statement ever....along comes Panthro and he resets the bar.
