so is gathering berries

in prehistoric times.

It's not required.

Let's talk more about creating laws that cater to a small %. :)

Sure, let's?

What is the % of gun related deaths in the US over the past 5 years that came from your so called "assault rifles"?

Please, I really want to know.

Hey Gazi we're not supposed to use this terrible tragedy to promote a reduction in gun violence.

Hey G5 what percentage of street crimes and home invasions are prevented by a giant gun like the Newtown one vs, a handgun or shotgun, because all I hear about from you are anecdotes

Heres my thought: if he had a smaller capacity, slower shooting weapon maybe 20 percent of those kids might have lived, that's the stat that actually matters.

ITT we learn that speculative and completely made up statistics are the only ones that matter to CWG.

Care to try again?

Were you not the one talking about the foolishness of laws and affecting only a small % of people?

Just stay in line.....toe the party line....don't worry that it's a meaningless law.....

I'm going to help you out here.

In 2011 there were a total of 12,664 murders in the US total.

In 2011 there were 8,583 murders committed in the US using guns.

323 were killed using rifle fire.

How many were your "assault rifles" responsible for out of that number, we don't know, so I will just go ahead and say ALL, just for arguments sake.

That means that a maximum of 0.0255 % of all murders that happened in the US came out of the barrel of an "assault type weapon".

And 0.037 % of all gun related murders came out of the barrel of the same "assault weapons".

YUP, we have a winner everyone. These guns are killing everyone in sight, there is no way that we will survive if these guns are still able to be sold to civilians.

One of the dumber arguments I have heard from the left in a while.

So you think some one with a pump shotgun couldn't have done the same if not worse? I sure if you only have 30 seconds you can do more damage if you go to like a parade or concert with a large crowd, but going class to class you could have done just as bad with other weapons.
