What about Zack's off south blvd? The owners son sold me the alarm system for my house. He said they have good burgers and dogs.

That's right around the corner from my house....Pinky's may not be great, but is much better (except when I want a stuffed burger and sweet tater tots) usually.

The taco place that just went in beside it isn't bad, just needs to get the word out more.

I ran past those places the other day. The taco place seemed busier than the burger joint. They just opened a Burger Co. near my office, right next to the Gentleman's Club. Someone didn't do their homework, terrible location. I hope it succeeds tho.

Burger Co. doesn't know if it wants to be a bar as well as a restaurant. It isn't open late enough to really be a bar, it doesn't do sit down until later in the day...and I think Pinky's will eventually make it move out of that location.

Oh yeah I forgot about Pinky's right down the street. That is a great place to park for games as you can jump right on 85 basically and avoid all the crap.

I haven't had their burgers but the dog I had was great.

There was a place on Elizabeth Avenue called Smalls. They had a phenomenal burger, but unfortunately, they were only open for about 6 months.

There is also a place in Monroe called Dukes Grill. If you like southern style burgers, you will love them. Best southern style burger I've ever had.

Off the top of my head I think it was the cheese burger at The Bar at Husk, in Charleston SC.

Also a really good one is Frank's in Wilmington.

there was this little place on the beach north of Cabo...and I'm not sure if it was just because we were drunk and starving...but that was a burger like no other I have ever had

A bison burger at this hole in the wall joint in Montana. We had been hiking and fishing in YellowStone for fours day and three nights, living off what we carried in with us. We came out of the woods and found this burger joint for a quick meal before going back in on another 3 day hike. Best dang burger I've ever had.
Of course, it was probably crap, but when you've been in the woods any amount of time, anything would have probably been the best ever!

bison is a great meat to get if you get your hands on some.


very lean so you need to learn to cook it properly.
