Maybe in 2 or 3 years but not from day 1. There is no WR in this draft that can replace Smith day 1. If Smith gets hurt we're fuged regardless if we draft a WR in the 1st 2 rounds.

THIS IS THE WHOLE POINT. Don't we wanna take care of this now? With someone who has a lot of talent. Do we just bank on later drafts. Julio's and A.J. Greens and Megatrons are rare.

Yeah but look at the roster and ask yourself this. Who do you have more confidence in?

A CB group without Gamble and Capt.
A Dt group without both the Edwards Boys.
Or the WR group that has depth just not proven stars.

CB group i have confidence with a one year signing, with our Dline applying pressure
Dt group with a one year signing. We can get a DT if the chips fall where they may
WR.....no we need to give Cam weapons...it is not fair that the best player on our team doesn't have playmakers to help him

You should have put Oline in there

Honestly i want us to go O line in first WR in second
Or WR first DT in second, sign vet Oline.

That is the best scenario for me. I wanted a dominant defensive player in the first initially, but fug it we gotta help Cam. We put to much of a burden on him as it is. We have to help this kid. We have to.

What one year signing on DT CB and don't forget FS? And I actual feel if we can get a solid RG in FA our Oline will be better.

But Again I have more Faith in Lafell and group then I do in Norman,Thomas, Dockery,Hixson, Ness, Fua, Krease, Chandler and Cole. These are the guys at DT and CB on the roster with a contract who are not in danger until TC of getting cut.

This is where we differ in Opinion.

Yea i value any dissenting opinion. even if i completely disagree with it and remark on it. It helps me gather a more informed opinion. At this point in time i think we need to upgrade WR for the benefit of Cam. I think that will help the team more than DT CB and FS. but who knows what tomorrow will bring. I may give you poo for your opinon, but I do appreciate it.

I want a playmaker with my first pick. A guy who can make plays from the moment he steps on the field. If that guy is a WR, so be it.

I don't care what position my first two picks play. As long as they come in and make plays, we are better. WR, DB, and maybe DT are the three areas I would concentrate my resourses. A disruptive DT to go along with CJ, Hardy, and Alexander would be fantastic at rushing the passer. An electric WR capable of finding the endzone would up the excitement level as well. Or a ballhawking DB with a nose for the ball, that would be worth the price of admission. So yeah, I could see any of those three making an immediate impact.

As to everything else? Who knows. I truly believe that RG and TE will be upgraded through FA. Other than that, all i know is, I plan on my imagination running rampant with speculations. This is going to be an offseason for the ages. And it couldn't have come at a better time for Gettlemen and Rivera.
