I think Mike Florio is right about everything he says here.

No you get rid of one but both is a little retarded.

Yea, and keeping both would be retarded to the 8th power

first...not a fan of mark "let's see what poo we can throw at the wall and still be more right than than schefter" florio or his beloved PulledFromTurd.

but.... he is right that we have waaaaayyyyy too much money wrapped up in RB and we should move on from both of them because their production would be easily replaced with cheaper options. i don't like the idea of getting rid of both of them at the same time, but i don't think it would be catastrophic, esp. long term. that's a lot of money that could be spent making the team at the very least more balanced and well rounded and would make it easier to pay cam what he's likely going to cost to re-sign. i love double trouble, but not at the expense of the panthers big picture.

he was pretty much way off base on why there was trouble with cam early on last year. he said that the problem was they didn't account for the changes that defenses would make in trying to stop him, but the truth was chud overcompensated and it wasn't until they changed things back to the way they were the previous year that things started looking productive.

totally agreed about us needed to focus on bringing in more talent at WR. we need more. simple and plain. what we have isn't enough to make us dominant, esp. when smitty falls apart. it needs addressed sooner rather than later.

mixed feelings about gamble, but maybe he's right that we should try and make him settle for less here, esp. when he considers that he's not going to be getting paid anywhere close to what he's supposed to be getting paid here next year. this is going to be a buyers market because of the flood of very good players getting released due to cap issues so players will be getting paid much less than what they expect. gamble is going to fall right into that situation.

i hate agreeing with florio about anything, but a couple of those pieces of poo he flung are sticking, imo.

The RB contracts have really hurt us. RBs have become plug n play and we have ignored key positions for way too long....don't believe me? look at our record

Some people are afraid to rip the bandaid off. We would be better for it down the line.

it would be almost as dumb as giving them those contracts in the first place.

I've thought if Lattimore somehow plummeted to the 4th, pick him up, bounce one of the two wonder twins, and let's go.

I was joking that Hurney would've drafted him in the first if A) he was still here B )he didn't get injured

I am way ok with dumping both if he is still there.

Shanahan would get rid of both and pick up a guy in the 6th to make us forget Double Trouble

Unless its otherworldly talent, RB really has become a position that you can just put a guy in for a few years as a rental and then move on.

You should lease running backs, not buy them.

lattimore + tolbert wouldn't be a bad combo. add in armond smith and i think we'd be just fine.
