okay so jimmy and gronk are the only ones who did decnt out the current top 10 tightends in the first year.

like i said not many rookie tightends come and tear up the league....so no im not excited about drafting no te. sorry

give me a deep threat anyday of the week. te has his place but never will replace a true deep threat wr.

shoot newton had a better record without both tight ends...ummmph!! and basically the same stats with less int.

i dont thiink you have to spend a high draft pick on a te to get a decent redzone weapon......fauria is not even top10 in most scouts minds but he scored 13 tds(led nation)...most coming while in the redzone....with a avg young qb....way more than the E boys and pablo escobar scored.

wait let me see....oh yeah but the hof guys didnt have a impact.......

let me see percy won the roy.....ill be back.....

oh yeah thanks for the corections with gronk.....lol my bad

You can't guarantee me a WR in this Draft is going to win ROY. Also, a very good player doesn't have to win an award to be good.

Eifert and Ertz are really sure players who won't dissapoint you, and you're knowing exactly what you're getting. If we really want a "deep threat", cross your finger that Goodwin is there in the 4th. Gettleman said we need Touchdown guys. Didn't said we needed a deep threat. 89 is still a very good deep threat for us.

Giving Cam another guy like Eifert or Ertz to go along with Olsen and 89 in the endzone will improve his td passes. Also will help Cam not having to pound the ball so much in the end zone.

When did we start talking awards?
Nobody care about awards.
I care about getting a guy and here that can plug and play Day 1 and impact like Cam or Kuechly.

yeah and both cam and keek won roy.....lol

this team has had a two year losing record man.....we dont need a tightend who gonna just come in and be good. we need a guy who can come in and be great like randy moss......17 tds with over a 1000 yards....thats all im saying man.

not many tightends have a HUGGGE impact on the team in their rookie year dude...face the facts and look at the stats. lol

Lol face the fact that there ain't no 1000yds+ 17tds Randy Moss in this Draft.

If youre looking for a ROY player for us, you'd better be looking at a defensive player. Bc an OT is going to win OROY (Joeckel, Fisher, Johnson)

If Vance McDonald is somehow there in the 4th and we didn't grab a WR early, I'd be all over that.

Don't know about going for one with our first 2 picks unless we are for sure gonna utilize a guy like we did with Shockey.

same thing they said about cruz.....lol

their is always a wr in the draft ready to make a huge impact....but that depends on if this guy knows how to draft talent......

ot is going to win rookie of the year.........LOL

stop while your not that far behind chuck........just stop it.

face the fact that WAY more wr have been huge impact their first years then tightends......

hmmmmm lets see who had a bigger impact with andrew luck......dwayne allen or coby fleener or that 3rd round guy ty hilton??????

idk know man looks real close.....................................................chuck just stop it....i plead you. lol

Lol you're messed up in the head if you think Eifert or Ertz can't have a good rookie season and there's a Randy Moss in this draft.

stop it chuck.

ty hilton had 7 tds with over 800 yards with an amazing 17,2 avg....umm thats a deep threat.....and hes not even close to randy moss...lol

plus he did it with a rookie qb while gronk and jimmy had elite qbs....YOU tell me who had the bigger IMPACT??

of course you wont because you dont want to admit that i been won the argument. lol

it does not have to be a moss for a wr to come in and have huge impact.....and i NEVER said there was a randy moss in the draft.....just used him as an example.

never said the E boys cant have a good rookie season...... i just doubt they will have a GREAT ONE or a historical rookie season like NEWTON HAD!!!!!!

im still waiting on you to give me those roy tightends????lol

or you can give me a rookie TE who avg 17.2 yards???lol either one will suffice lol

Lol you too funny.
I'm not going to keep on yapping back and forth with you bc we good with each other.

But to end my argument, if I'm the GM I'm not even going to think twice taking Eifert if he's there at 44. For Ertz, I'll have to check who's available. If there's no receiver I think can impact right away, I'm taking Ertz.

TEs are a big part in the NFL today. Both SB teams this year uses the TE very well. Since you love the Patriots so much, always mentioning them take a sec and look at Gronk. If Gronk didn't get injured and played in the AFC Championship game, they wouldve very well have beaten the Ravens. Both Eifert and Ertz are going to be studs in the pro.

The receiver class last year was prob a better class with Jeffrey, Hill, and Floyd. Did one of those three win ROY?? All of them struggled mightily.

lol i love the pats now because i know my history lol

of course tight ends are becoming more apart of the offense...so is slot wide recievers...................

blah blah....tom brady owns pats...i could go there as a wr and would to make it to a couple of afc championships and catch nothing........... like chad lol

but since you want to use gronk they did nothing is his rookie year....remember thats what argument is about!!! he lost to mark sanchez in the first round lol

panther fans aint trying to wait to next 2 to 3 years down the road to have success...... with luck,rg3 and wilson all in the playoffs.....,;,.......

you act like these wr suck balls lol they dont the qbs are the ones who suck......no coach in his right mind would take a tightend over a wr...idk care who he is....

newton did nothing spectacular with both tightends ...still had losing record in his great rookie season......

still waiting on those those roy tight ends chuck!!!!! lol just admit im right and move on.

of course chuck will quit the argument when he realizes that he has lost .....so i salute you on that brother.

now for a quick comparison saints rookie WR vs rookie TE...... with drew brees as qb

marques colston- played 14 games 70 rec 1038 recyards 8 tds

jimmy graham-played 15 games 31 rec 356 recyards 5 tds

he outclassed him badly in his rookie year....its not even close...colston clearly had the bigger impact.....not to mention he has won a superbowl without him....

.sorry chuckie you lose....try next time......hope you not mad at me but a mans got to what mans got to do to prove his point...nothing personal my man...peace!

this argument is officially over.

U making a fool out of yourself asking me to show u these TEs that won ROY. Did TonyG, Sharper, etc win ROY??? The TE spot is one who doesn't get the recognition it deserves. The OROY always goes to a QB, WR, OT or RB.

Last year class was better at the receiver position with two sure receivers in Floyd and Jeffrey. Both struggled!!!

And I never said this class suck balls. I was the one who made the thread praising these receivers a while back. History just proves that it's a position where it's going to take time to develop.

I mean if it make u happy that you won a silly argument on a forum where men get to live in fantasy, go ahead and be happy. I have too much in my life to worry about trying to win a pointless argument.

Let's save the facts for Gettleman to decide. Neither you or I know what's going on inside his head.
