why Kenny Stills not getting any love? and im no USC homer but all i have heard about Woods is he is a student of the game and works his butt off.put that with good route running and production, and it looks like a prospect that will translate to the next level.
Kenny Stills is another WR I really like in this draft. Absolute playmaker in college, and looked solid in the position drills today. Woods is a film room junkie, and often stayed after practice working with the jugs, refining his routes etc. He's an absolute technician when it comes to running his routes and catching the football which is why I think somebody questioning him just because of the logo on his helmet is ignorant at best. Robert Woods is the polar opposite of Mike Williams, and Dwayne Jarrett, two guys who just were more physically gifted then their competition and never worked for it. Woods never stopped working since Spring practice his Freshman year. He's not the biggest, he's not the fastest, but you would be hard pressed to find a WR with a better set of hands, route running/tree and work ethic....

What does Jarrett have to do with Woods. They're completely different WRS. Please try to actually bring some knowledge/facts to this debate. Unless you think DJ and Robert Woods have similar work ethic/drive and if that's the case I don't know what to say to you....
USC receivers do not work in the NFL. I know you have a hard time accepting that but you just gotta face it. I never said that Woods and Jarrett were the same player, I like woods just like I liked Jarrett, but woods is nothing more than a slot receiver.
Do you ACTUALLY think JR would approve of drafting another USC receiver in the first or second round hahaha?

Again with no knowledge or facts to back up your claim. Sorry Bwood but you're looking fuging ignorant on this topic just resorting back to "USC receivers do not work in the NFL"....

You guys need to quit slobbering over the sleek sports cars as we need road graders, bull dozers, etc. this draft.

USC WRs simply aren't going to be received well by many Panther fans due to past 2nd round disappointments from USC in Carolina.
When Jarrett was drafted Steve Smith (the other one) from USC was a better choice. Had a 100 reception season with the Giants until he blew up a leg.
Now USC is Tailback U but a broad sweep dismissing all WR talent out of USC as not NFL worthy is just dumb.
However, with the luck we've had with Trojan receivers I might be tempted to look elsewhere.

very sneaky speed...he has to build up to it but he has extra gear when hes behind the defense.
he is tougher than he looks and can elude tacklers...does not shy away from contact.
pretty decent route runner.......

very good hands...always saw him extend to catch with his hands and not body..

He was a phenomenal returner in HS at Serra, so when he gets in open space he always resorts to those return skills. Kind of reminds me of 89 in that sense. Not saying Woods is 89 because he doesn't have the speed that Smitty does, but the way they both turn into returners when they get the ball in space is very similar. IMO (and yes it may be a bit biased) he would be a huge steal with our second round pick if he's there. If I had to find something to knock him on, it would be that he doesn't have the ELITE speed, and he also was hampered by an ankle injury most of his career at USC that I would want checked out first. The speed issue isn't as big of a concern to me because with as quick as he is in and out of breaks he creates separation....
