With tensions heating up and all the ways the government has been trying to stir up the military (see gays serving openly, women in combat) I think it is not completely unreasonable to see a second civil war coming. Even more so with governments own personal national security force and homeland security as their personal protection.

A bunch of narcissistic losers whining and moaning about their waning influence via message boards, talk radio, and bumper stickers is not the basis of civil war.

It wouldn't shock me to see a few random acts of terrorism sprout up, but that would be squashed pretty quickly.
