We dont have a good slot guy and as good as Smitty has been, he should be a slot guy..its not a knock but it would make him more dangerous.
Unfortunately the Panthers are not really in a position to get him as it would be like purchasing a Ferrari without owning a garage.
Panthers have numerous needs OL, FS, DT and WR..but the foundation needs to be set now. Fortify the lines..ideally get another possible number 1..not injury risks that can be had for a 7th and move to become elite.
Guys who say meh..hes a slot guy..he will be a nightmare for any cb in the NFL week 1..hardly any dice.

Go get cam a weapon Cam's arm with this guys speed and hands whew..
Austin or Patterson looks like the best potential wideouts for us I fell off the Keenan Allen bandwagon last year.

Comparing any of the 3 (Austin/Bailey/Geno) this year to guys like Pat White/Devine is just unfair. These guys can and will play in the NFL.

I'd rather he was taller, but he'd still be lethal if used to his full potential. playmaker, baby.

Ryan Swope ran the same speed as Austin, is bigger, runs better routes, and is a good blocker...if we want a slot receiver he would be there in the 3rd if we trade down or something. Patton and Swope are my favorite receivers in the draft, hopefully we can get one of them.
40 time isn't playing speed. Austin is a much faster football player than Swope.

Yeah Austin can do that too.
BTW Austin wont make it out of the 1st round.
I seriously doubt that. WR might have Allen and Patterson at best in the first round. No one is going to gamble on kick returner in the first round.
Sorry but true.

I'd take him trading down to the 20s, but 14 seems a tad high for him.
20' are a tad high for him. He's a slot wr.

He's not just a slot reciever. But i don't want him at 14. If we were in the position of the Patriots or the 9ers, sure. I don't think we have that luxury right now.

So you think he can be a number 1 wr for a team?
