Cutting Chris Gamble has been the most obvious move for the Panthers to make this off-season. Since it hasn't been announced yet, it makes me wonder are they trying to rework his deal, thoughts?

Ron and David have been playing rock, paper, scissors all week trying to decide.

Maybe Gettleman is consulting Hurney on this one, who is telling Gettleman to give Gamble more money.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to make a fire in my cabin this early or wait til later tonight. This is a harder decision than deciding whether or not to cut Gamble. I have no idea what is taking so long.

We seem to be notoriously slow to do anything, seems like it's the same with Gettleman there.

I know the offseason is boring, but why cut the Gamble before we have to? Even if Gettleman has decided to cut him, if he doesn't have to do until a certain date, then it is in the teams advantage to hold him as long as possible to see how things play out. Gettleman is smart to take his time making these decisions. For all we know, Gamble is interested in re-working his deal so he can stay, not likely, but possible.

I don't see any team wanting him with that contract.

All you have to pay him is 7.95 million in 2013 and 8.9 in 2014. Since none of it is guaranteed you aren't obligated to pay him any of that and you will likely get him for a 3rd or 4th rounder. Pretty cheap really. If we were not in cap hell we wouldn't be letting him go,
